The basics
What it costs
- Lease term
- One to nine months, with thirty days' written notice to vacate.
- Security deposit
- Capped at one month's rent where charged. An approved deposit alternative — no cash held — may be offered instead.
- Included in rent
- Electricity, gas where applicable, water, sewer, trash, and wifi.
- Not included
- Pet fees, damage or excessive-cleaning charges, personal housekeeping, renter's insurance, and replacement costs for keys, fobs, or access cards not returned.
- Late fee
- The lesser of $50 or five percent of the monthly rent, if rent is more than five days late.
- Renter's insurance
- Required for the full lease term: at least $100,000 in personal liability coverage, with proof due before move-in.
